So here I am, to dust this place off again, and I am officially getting rid of the drawing board. Too much pressure!
Will to draw still escapes me, but only barely. In the meanwhile, I have developed an inclination to write stuff. Weird, no? It's been a very, very long time since I've had a character in my OC arsenal that's inspired me to write anything outside of the game she inhabits, and I don't think that particular honor has ever gone to an OC created in a single player game.
But, thanks to the brilliant storytelling in DAI, I find myself wanting to know more about my world canon Inquisitor. And, since filling in the gaps is up to me, and since I'm not exactly inclined to join a site that deals exclusively in fanfiction, I figure I'll post what I come up with here. It should prove interesting, I hope. This inquisitor was never meant to be canon, and was instead created for an achievement gathering playthrough. So it didn't matter that her name was a ridiculous homage to Tales of Graces until I lost my actual canon save to accidental deletion. Now she has stepped in to take the spot, and I've been amused to no end fitting her name into the setting in my head.
So expect stories about Tiger Festival Lavellan to grace this place once I get the words sorted and set to digital paper. I also plan to add some of my old fanfiction that has sat hidden away for ages. At the very least, it should allow this sad and lonely dA page to see some activity until I manage to draw something again.
Which, given my current obsession, is hopefully not too far away. Besides, my dear hubby was kind enough to buy me a shiny new ghetto cintiq - AKA Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - to help curb my artistic inactivity. I've doodled with it, but it will take some learning. Here's hoping what I make of it won't be a total mess.
It's a good thing it was on sale.
