Online gaming taking a backseat for a while again. Who knows when I'll see Black Mage 75 in XI at this rate? And with an update right around the corner too. (not sure I'm gonna even have room for it though... my computer is in dire need of space on its main drive... Anyone know how to remove a partition without destroying something plz tell me haha)

Working on another Raven Picture. I really like drawing this guy. In spite of it being sort of complicated (although nowhere near the realm of Jin Uzuki - III complicated) its fun. He's such a cool guy, and has really outpaced my first picks for favorite male in the game now. I am looking forward to the release of the movie, in hopes of Raven snippets from it sneaking their way onto these shores, or even a fansubbed downloadable version of it from my heroes at Abyssal Chronicles.

I am one of those strange types who likes to understand what I watch though, without my eyes being drawn away from the subject by subtitles, so if by some strange twist of fate they actually dubbed this thing and released it here, I'd be one happy camper. But only if they kept the voice actors from the game. That's one thing that bugs me. Consistency ppl. Raven would not be Raven without that endearing voice of his. I know that they plan to keep the Japanese voice actors from the game for the Japanese version of the movie/anime.

I sure wish US licensing companies would take a note from that book. Xenosaga anime for example... I didn't even want to watch it when I saw the voice cast list. I know who I hear when I hear "Jin Uzuki". And that's not him. Nothing against the guy who did his voice in the anime at all. It's just not the same.

So I've found that most of what folks have been saying about the Ruler Mode in Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires is true. It's boring. There's literally nothing to do each turn but attack, and prepare for attacks. The provincial management that RoTK dorks like me crave is completely gone in this version. Which makes me hope beyond hope that RTK 12 is in the works, but having heard nothing at all about that, I'm not going to hold my breath. That said, it seems its become a typical Koei thing now... they added things to the game that are just... sweet. But took away stuff that people enjoyed about the past titles. I don't understand it. It's like one step forward, two steps back.

Right now working on getting the rest of the achievments and endings unlocked, but playing through on Ruler mode dulled the excitement I had when I first got the game. Such a pity. :/ It always makes me wonder who exactly gets in Koei's focus groups. And I'm starting to believe that its true what they say about that company not caring beans for what the US audience has to say. Way to hurt a girl's feelings...



There's a lot I could rant about considering all the good stuff they've taken out of their games over the years to replace with other stuff, when they could have just added onto it to improve the games... but I'll just leave it with this:

Dear Koei:
-Stop the outrageous out-of-genre outfits, plx.
-Bring back Jiang Wei.
-Bring back costume changes, instead of just palette swaps.
-Climbing ladders and swimming was the zomg whoa thing about DW6: So please pimp it out more. All the officers don't have to tard-swim like gimp frogs or climb ladders like stiff-jointed robots. (As hubby pointed out - see Prince of Persia, who knew how to work a ladder XD )
-And plx Bring the micro-management back to Empires, or at least make it an option for those who like that sort of thing.
-Stop changing voice actors
-Let Xiahou Dun and Cao Pi have their hairs back. Thnx.
